MEF UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF LAW 2022-2023 SUMMER SCHOOL IMPLEMENTATION PRINCIPLES MEF University Faculty of Law Students Registering for MEF University Faculty of Law Summer School

The total course load that can be taken in the Summer School is a maximum of three (3) courses. (Summer School Directives Record #139480051)

For students who can graduate in the following academic year, the course loads of the Summer School can be increased with the decision of the Faculty Board upon request. (Increase in the Number of Courses that Can Be Taken in the Summer School)

The opened courses and the course program can be accessed through the Student Information System (SIS).

Students who have fulfilled the attendance obligation of a course in previous terms can take overlapping courses. In courses where the attendance obligation has not been fulfilled previously, partial overlap is allowed.

Scholarships of students are valid during the summer school.

Students who want to take courses in the summer school make their pre-registrations through the Student Information System according to the Academic Calendar.

After the pre-registration process for summer school courses, if the summer school fee is paid, the final registration process is completed.

Classes that are closed due to not meeting the necessary requirements are announced on the last day of the summer school fee payment, and if there is a fee refund for these courses, the Financial Affairs and HR Directorate is informed.

No additions, withdrawals, or withdrawals from courses are applied in the Summer School; no refund is made for any reason for open courses.

Students taking courses in the Summer School are obliged to participate in all kinds of exams and other studies prescribed by the instructor during the summer education period.

Midterm and final exams in the Summer School will be held in person.

There are no excuses for the final exams of the courses at the end of the Summer School, and there is no make-up exam.

Financial Information

The fee for the summer school will be paid by multiplying the amount of 1/60 of the installment fee for the 2022-2023 academic year, which you will view by entering the Finance tab in your account, by the number of credits to be taken.

Payments can be made by EFT/Transfer to the following bank account or online or by mail order to Bonus, World, Axcess, and Maximum credit cards in 3 installments (single payment for other credit cards).

MEF University Faculty of Law Students Registering for Summer School at Other Universities

The course to be taken from another university should not be opened at MEF University Faculty of Law. It can be applied by the students who have reached the graduation stage for the courses not opened in the Faculty during the term within the scope of special students, provided that they are within the semester credit limits throughout the undergraduate education period, for a maximum of two courses and once, within the summer school, if deemed appropriate after the content and evaluation criteria of the course are evaluated by the Faculty Board. In accordance with this decision, if the condition is met, the student who wants to take from another university:

  • University information to take the course

  • The course(s) to be taken (code/name, ECTS value)

  • Course content

  • Information of the instructor giving the course

must apply to the Faculty Dean's Office with a petition containing.

If there is a difference between the ECTS value of the course taken from another university and the ECTS value of the same course at MEF University Faculty of Law, the decision of the Senate dated May 23, 2018, will be applied: "The issue of determining the ECTS equivalence of the courses taken by our students from other universities in the Summer School was discussed. Considering the fact that there are different ECTS values in the faculties and students have difficulties in this regard; It was unanimously decided that if a summer school course is taken from another university due to the course not being opened in our faculty, and if the content of the course is suitable for our program, the ECTS value of the other faculty will be increased by a maximum of 3 ECTS, and the difference will be equalized."

Students who take summer school with a document showing their success note can start the process by filling out the Credit Transfer Form on the Student Affairs Directorate page with a complete document.

Students Registering for MEF University Faculty of Law Summer School from Other Universities

Students who will register at MEF University Faculty of Law from other universities can access the course contents of the opened courses in the summer school through this [link](not provided); you can also access the course program through this [link](not provided).

Pre-registration is done by applying to the Student Affairs Directorate with a student certificate and identity document taken within the last one (1) month.

After the payment of the summer school fee and the decision of the Faculty Board, the final registration is carried out by the Student Affairs Directorate.
