Serap Kırbız received her Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey. During her Ph.D. studies, she worked at Philips Research Center, Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and as a visiting researcher at the Department of Cognitive and Neural Systems, Boston University, Boston, USA. She later worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Gipsa-Lab, Grenoble, France. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at MEF University, Istanbul, Turkey. Her research interests include digital signal processing, pattern recognition, audio watermarking, audio source separation, and matrix and tensor decomposition.
