Biography
Prof. Dr. Hande Karadağ is a full-time scholar at the Department of Business Administration of MEF University, and Director of the Graduate School in the same Institution. Prof. Karadağ`s career is defined by the strategic integration of academic inquiry and industry practice. After following nearly two decades in corporate banking at UniCredit Group managing global client portfolios, she transitioned to academia to examine the cognitive and structural drivers of organizational innovation. Her research operates at the intersection of dynamic managerial capabilities, entrepreneurial management, and international entrepreneurship. Following the completion of her doctorate in Strategic Management, Prof. Karadağ explored these themes as a Visiting Scholar at the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), the Isenberg School of Management (UMass Amherst), and the Adam Smith Business School (University of Glasgow), focusing on how managerial cognition and innovative capabilities shape institutional adaptation and sustained competitiveness. With approximately 1,950 citations, Prof. Karadağ`s work is published in leading SSCI journals, including the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research, Personnel Review, Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences, and The International Journal of Management Education. Prof. Karadağ is the author of Strategic Financial Management for Small and Medium-Sized Companies (Emerald Publishing, 2013) and her joint paper with Prof. Faruk Şahin published in IJOEBR received the Emerald Highly Commended Paper award in 2020.
