BEGÜM UZUN TAŞKIN

Dr. Begüm Uzun received her PhD in Political Science from the University of Toronto in 2019. She has a BA (2005) and an MA (2008) in Political Science and International Relations from Marmara University and Boğaziçi University, respectively. Dr. Uzun joined MEF University's Department of Political Science and International Relations as a full-time faculty member in July 2020. Between 2017 and 2020, she taught part-time courses at MEF University. Dr. Uzun conducts research in the areas of comparative politics, Turkish politics, political participation of youth, state-society relations, political regimes and regime changes. She is also a co-coordinator at the Istanbul Youth Research Center.
