Biography

After graduating with a third place ranking from the Department of Architecture at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in 2005, he began the Master's Program in Architectural Design at the same school. Between 2006 and 2007, he continued his thesis work at the Brandenburg Technical University (BTU-Cottbus) in Germany as an Erasmus student, and completed his master's degree in 2008, then began the Doctoral Program in Architectural Design at ITU. From 2013 to 2014, he served as a Fulbright scholar and guest researcher at the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania (U-Penn) in the United States. He completed his doctoral studies in 2016. From 2005 to 2017, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Architecture at ITU, conducted architectural design studios, and taught theoretical courses. He has received awards in various competitions in both student and professional categories. He has organized numerous national and international workshops and has been invited as a tutor to many workshops. He has served as a jury member in various competitions. Since 2017, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture at MEF University Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture. His academic research focuses on the relationships between time, space, and the body, bodily experience, representation theories and methods, the representation-perception relationship, and the interaction between fashion design and architecture.
