MURAT DOĞU

Dr. Murat Doğu Deputy General Manager of Finance and Board Member, Hepiyi Sigorta Born in Ankara in 1967, he completed his middle and high school education at TED Ankara College. He graduated from the Department of Economics at Boğaziçi University in 1990. In 1991, he began working as an Assistant Specialist at the Capital Markets Board of Turkey (CMB). He became a Capital Markets Specialist in 1995 and a Chief Specialist in 2003. He lead the team that developed the "Turkish Corporate Governance Principles," which were published for the first time in Turkey by the CMB in 2004. Dr. Doğu began working as the capital markets coordinator at the Doğan Group in May 2004 and has served on the board of directors, as an executive and committee member, within Doğan Holding and across Doğan Group Companies. He played an active role in the establishment and growth of Öncü Venture Capital Investment Company. He received his master's degree in business administration from Hacettepe University in 1994. Murat Doğu earned an MBA from Warwick Business School in 1997 and earned his doctorate in business finance from Hacettepe University in 2008, earning his Doctorate. He has specialized in capital market legislation, particularly Borsa Istanbul, VIOP (Istanbul Stock Exchange), MKK (Central Securities Depository), and Takasbank transactions; corporate finance, corporate governance, sustainability, and investor relations; as well as capital market instruments, their issuance and public offering procedures; mergers, divisions, takeovers, calls, due diligence, valuation, financial analysis, financial reporting, and accounting. Recently, he has been actively involved in significant acquisitions, incorporations, and sales. In 2021, Dr. Murat Doğu resigned from his position as Vice President of Financial Affairs at Doğan Holding and played an active role in the establishment of Hepiyi Sigorta A.Ş. under the umbrella Doğan Group, as a founding partner. Dr. Doğu currently serves as a board member and Chief Financial Officer at Hepiyi Sigorta A.Ş. Dr. Murat Doğu currently teaches finance, company valuation, and sustainability to undergraduate and graduate students at MEF University as a part-time faculty member, and volunteers his support for the activities of prominent NGOs such as TKYD. Dr. Doğu is married and has two children.
