MOSTAFA KHALIL ABDOU SALEH

Dr. Saleh has been working as assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MEF University since 2022. Dr. Saleh received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Koç University in 2021. During his PhD he developed a magnetorheological damper for washing machines through an industrial-academic research project between Arcelik and Koç University under TUBITAK 1505 program. Moreover, he extended the fundamentals of the developed damper to design a novel magnetorheological damper for chatter suppression during metal cutting in CNC machining processes. He has an internationally filed patent for the developed device in addition to published research articles. His current research interests include Chatter detection and suppression techniques in CNC operations, Dynamics of metal cutting, Active damping of mechanical vibrations, and Magnetorheological fluid dampers. He recently secured a research grant for using AI in process health monitoring of CNC machines in collaboration with industrial and academic partners from Türkiye and Pakistan through TUBITAK 1071 international funding program.
