Biography
Dr. Namık Kılıç graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1993. After completing his master`s and doctoral studies at Marmara University, he worked successively as an automotive systems R&D engineer at Uzel Makina A.Ş., and as a product development team leader responsible for suspension, steering, and fuel systems at Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.Ş. Between 2006 and 2007, he served as the product development chief in Ford`s Transit vehicle production project in China. From 2007 to 2016, he worked as a computer-aided engineering manager at Otokar Savunma Sanayi A.Ş., participating in the ALTAY, Arma 8x8, Arma 6x6, Cobra2, and Tulpar projects. After working as the manager responsible for engineering calculations in the main battle tank "ALTAY" project, he served as the test and analysis manager for tanks and armored vehicles at BMC Savunma Sanayi A.Ş., where he was involved in the serial production program of the ALTAY project and the design and verification of the ALTUĞ 8x8 vehicle. After completing his active engineering career as the R&D director of BIAS Engineering, he has been working as a lecturer at MEF University since 2024. Dr. Kılıç has served as a principal coordinator and researcher in 11 TEYDEB 1501 projects with a total project budget exceeding 30 million euros. He has 6 patents, two of which are international, 11 SCI articles, and nearly 30 scientific papers published in other journals and conferences. Dr. Kılıç is married and has one daughter.
