Biography
Dr. Clinical Psychologist Ece Hoşceylan Türkün completed her undergraduate studies in 2013 at FMV Işık University, Department of Psychology. She earned her master’s degree in the Clinical Psychology Program at Okan University, with a focus on psychological trauma. As part of the Erasmus Program, she studied at the Department of Psychology at Cardiff Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom. In 2024, she graduated from the Clinical Psychology PhD Program at FMV Işık University.
Between 2017 and 2022, she worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Psychology at Haliç University. During this process, she participated in various conferences, seminars, and workshops, and provided academic advising to students. She has presented her work at both national and international congresses in the field. In the Fall semester of the 2022–2023 academic year, she taught Research Methods I at FMV Işık University’s Department of Psychology and in the Spring semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, she taught Eating Disorders at MEF University’s Department of Psychology. Since 2023, she has been working as a Clinical Psychologist at Soteria Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Center.
She has completed Level 1 EMDR training at the Behavioral Sciences Institute and received primary training in Schema Therapy from Dr. Alp Karaosmanoğlu. Over time, she has embraced the Gestalt Psychotherapy approach, which emphasizes individuals’ inherent potential for growth and creativity, and she is currently continuing her Gestalt Therapy training under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Ceylan Daş.
Her primary areas of expertise include psychological trauma, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and eating disorders in adults. But also she works with individuals who struggle with self-development, understanding their needs, and those who experience relationship difficulties in daily life.
