EŞREF BÖREKCİ

Eşref Barış Börekçi graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Law in 2015. Until 2017, he worked as an associate lawyer at Moral Kınıkoğlu Pamukkale Law Firm. Between 2017 and 2024, he served as a research assistant in the Department of Criminal Law at Yeditepe University Faculty of Law. In 2019, he completed his LL.M. degree in law at Yeditepe University Institute of Social Sciences by defending his thesis titled "Disclosing, Disseminating, or Obtaining Personal Data (Article 136 of the Turkish Penal Code)." In 2024, he earned his Ph.D. in public law from the same institute after defending his dissertation titled "Appointment of a Trustee for Company Management in Joint-Stock and Limited Liability Companies." During the 2022-2023 academic year, Börekçi conducted research for his doctoral dissertation as a visiting scholar at the University of Bonn Faculty of Law and Economics with a TÜBİTAK scholarship. Currently, he is a partner at a law firm and practices as an independent attorney. Additionally, he teaches the elective courses "AI Law" and "Social Media Law" at MEF University Faculty of Law.
