Graduates of the Political Science and International Relations Program, within the field of Political Science, should:
Know and understand the fundamental approaches, concepts, and theories of political science.
Be able to analyze current social and political developments in Türkiye and around the world and have the competence to comparatively evaluate different political systems, institutions, and political processes.
Understand the interaction of political science with disciplines such as economics, diplomacy, public administration, law, sociology, and international relations, and be able to use this knowledge through an interdisciplinary approach.
Take program-specific courses such as the history of political thought, comparative politics, political economy, Turkish politics, political theory, political sociology, and similar courses.
Graduates of the Political Science and International Relations Program, within the field of International Relations, should:
Know and understand the fundamental concepts, theories, and principles of international relations.
Have the competence to understand the fundamental dynamics of interstate relations, power balances, diplomatic relations, foreign policy processes, and how international politics are shaped.
Be able to explain the causes and consequences of current issues in international relations; analyze the globalizing world in terms of its effects on foreign policy and interstate relations; and evaluate the relationship among economics, politics, and diplomacy.
Take program-specific core courses such as world history, international political economy, international law, foreign policy, international diplomacy, international organizations, European Union relations, and similar courses.
