Dear Faculty Members,
Welcome to MEF University!
Below are some key resources to help you get started with teaching at MEF University and to plan for Flipped Learning.
New Instructor Journey
Before each semester, MEF University organizes an orientation program for new faculty members. This program consists of two main steps and aims to help you adopt our university’s innovative educational approach.
Step 1: Welcome Meeting, Flipped Learning Workshop, and MEF AI Policy
Welcome Meeting: Organized by CELT (Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching), this meeting introduces new faculty members to MEF University’s educational philosophy, teaching processes, and available resources.
Flipped Learning Workshop: This workshop focuses on what the Flipped Learning approach is and how it can be applied in courses. Faculty members explore suitable methods for their own classes through sample lesson analyses and practical applications.
MEF AI Policy: How Does AI Impact Teaching?: This session introduces MEF University’s published AI Policy. Faculty members learn about the impact of AI on teaching and learning processes, its potential use in both face-to-face and online courses, and the ethical considerations to keep in mind. It provides a comprehensive perspective on how AI technologies can add value to academic work and teaching.
Step 2: One-to-One Follow-Up Meetings on Flipped Course Design
One-to-one meetings are organized with new faculty members. These meetings are tailored to their educational needs and provide personalized guidance on integrating Flipped Learning standards into their courses.
AI Workshops
MEF University also organizes AI-focused workshops for faculty members. These workshops cover the integration of AI into teaching practices, practical use cases, and ethical aspects.
