A group is formed when two or more people come together around a common purpose. Group counseling is a professional service that enables members to share their experiences with one another, aiming to provide social support, awareness, and self-awareness.
In group sessions, individuals realize that the problems they are struggling with are not unique to themselves, and for many, simply recognizing that they are not alone is already part of the growth process. In addition, members have the opportunity to improve their self-expression skills and social abilities. Furthermore, the exchange of ideas during the sessions allows participants to gain new resources for themselves.
Group sessions at MEF University are conducted either on campus or online, typically lasting 5–10 weeks with one session per week. Each session takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
