Objectives of the Center
The center's objectives in the field of environmental and energy technologies include:
Conducting research and developing technologies, particularly in the field of renewable energy, with a focus on practical applications.
Carrying out research and development work related to the use of clean and sustainable energy sources such as solar, wind, biomass, hydrogen, passive and active architectural systems. Promoting the use of these energies across all segments of society and encouraging interest, along with developing new methods, processes, and technologies for implementation.
Conducting research and development in the field of alternative and renewable energy sources, such as wind, solar, geothermal, and biomass, with a focus on methods, processes, and technology development for the production of clean and environmentally friendly energy. Transferring this research into practical applications, contributing to existing studies, and organizing events to promote these activities.
Carrying out research and development efforts for the use of new and clean energy sources, such as fuel cells, in vehicles and putting related technologies into practice.
Determining energy usage performance in land, sea, air, and space transport vehicles and buildings, and developing advanced materials, methods, and technologies to ensure energy is used efficiently and to reduce energy loss.
Assessing and enhancing energy usage performance in industry and buildings and developing advanced materials, methods, and technologies to ensure efficient energy use and reduce energy loss.
Conducting interdisciplinary research projects that bring together various fields of science and technology to create advanced products, methods, processes, and technologies related to energy technology.
Providing expert evaluations and acting as consultants in the field of renewable energy technologies, including assessments from the perspectives of environmental law and energy law.
Training expert research assistants and faculty members in the field of environmental and energy technologies.
Facilitating collaboration among industries, universities, and other research institutions in related fields, developing and executing joint projects.
Contributing to Turkey's research and development activities in environmental and energy technologies through infrastructure, projects, and a skilled workforce.
Supporting research conducted in the university's science, engineering, and architecture departments related to environmental and energy technology and creating a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Activities of the Center
The center's areas of activity in the field of energy technologies and renewable energy sources include:
Identifying and examining issues related to energy technologies and the use of renewable energy sources, conducting research, promoting research, and organizing conferences, seminars, and symposia. Providing recommendations to relevant organizations.
Contributing to studies related to the use of energy technologies and renewable energy sources, facilitating coordination between relevant institutions, promoting mutual knowledge and experience sharing, offering consulting and expert opinions, presenting projects.
Developing educational programs related to energy technologies and renewable energy sources, conducting studies for the improvement of education and management tools.
Running education and certification activities related to energy technologies and renewable energy sources, granting certificates upon the completion of these training programs. Implementing programs such as building energy manager certification.
Collaborating with national and international universities on project topics, creating opportunities for student and faculty exchange.
Providing research, consulting, project, design, and similar services in the areas of environmental and energy technologies, efficient energy use, and renewable energy sources to government agencies and the private sector.
Publishing research findings in science and technology journals, both nationally and internationally, and releasing periodic and non-periodic publications.
